- YouTube PD10 Review from CloverTac!
Another review of our first pistol has been posted to YouTube, this time from CloverTac. Clover has been following the PD10 project for many years and is familiar with the principles behind the pistol. He took the pistol to the range and gave it a thorough test before producing & posting the video last month.
This YouTube PD10 Review gives complete overview of features and Clover’s thoughts on them. He shows a live twenty-five yard 5 Shot group test. Clover summarizes his review with the comment the PD10 “Checks all the boxes” for a concealed carry handgun.
Clover also talks about the subjective nature of what any individual might think makes a “perfect” defensive handgun. Importantly, his YouTube PD10 Review points out that this pistol’s design was driven by the observations of an instructor. One who has worked with thousands of students over a couple of decades, not just an individual shooter.

- Avidity Arms at the 2023 Ballistic Summit
A select group of Firearms Industry Media got a chance to learn more about Avidity Arms at the 2023 Ballistic Summit. The event took place at the NRA’s Whittington Center in New Mexico. From the article:
“The 5th annual Lucid Optics Ballistic Summit was held yet again at the NRA Whittington Center near Raton, New Mexico for 2023. Located in the mountains of northern of New Mexico the Whittington Center, September is a great time and offers a cooler climate. This event is intended to give the outdoor/shooting media a front row seat to current and next generation products in the firearms and shooting world with the opportunity to go hands on with some of these products.”
Terry Nelson, Midsouth Shot Report 10/23Terry is a 30-year veteran of law enforcement with police and sheriff agencies, including SWAT and sniper roles, and has served as a state game warden. He has attended multiple Ballistic Summits, which provides extensive hands-on time with new products and an opportunity for shooting industry media to interact with company representatives both on and off the range.
Avidity Arms at the 2023 Ballistic Summit was a new experience for the company. It was the first official event where production version of our pistols were a featured part of the attending media’s agenda. In regard to the PD10, Terry had this to say:
We ran this pistol hard at the Ballistic Summit and found that it can no doubt hold its own with bigger name brand name pistols and will offer a serious option for today’s concealed carry market.

- Honest Review: Avidity Arms PD10 Single Stack Handgun
Popular EDC has posted a review of the Avidity Arms PD10 Single Stack Handgun!
The article covers the background of the PD10, the design intention and shooting impressions. The author, James Nicholas, also shares some information about how the private gun makers can print and build their own Avidity Arms PD10… after downloading the 3DPD10 file we’ve provided for free to the gun building community and picking up a parts kits from JSD Supply. The Author clearly understands why the PD10 exists and why it took awhile to get to the market.
While Avidity Arms and the PD10 are the new kids on the block, the people and ideas behind them aren’t. There is a long list of manufacturers that rush guns to market, only to let the end user be the beta tester. A 10-year journey from concept to finished pistol has assured that the PD10 is exactly what Pincus intended and what shooters will love.
-James Nicholas, Popular EDC 2023 - PD10 Review from The Truth About Guns
The Truth About Guns has posted a long awaited PD10 Review!
TTAG is one of the busiest blogs in the firearms community and they spent some quality time with the Avidity Arms PD10 over the summer. In a lengthy article posted this month, they share their thoughts on the PD10’s design and performance.“Rob’s general philosophy with the PD10, if I’m not distilling it down too much, is that larger pistols are easier to shoot and smaller pistols are easier to carry. Fact check: true.
His PD10 design bucks most modern pistol trends and manages to check both of those boxes simultaneously.
…
The PD10 is also extremely lightweight, especially for its size, at just 18.8 ounces.
Taken together, this footprint makes for a firearm that carries extremely easily. Its slim width works very cleanly when carried IWB. Its 4-inch barrel is just shy of the point where length starts to be noticeable when carrying, and its minimal heft won’t weigh your belt down.”
Jeremy S., Sept 2023The PD10 began shipping from Avidity Arms in January of 2023 in a gray framed version. Black framed version has just been released at Davidson’s Gallery of Guns.
- All4Shooters looks at the PD10 Pistol
Giorgio Brancaglion took a look at the PD10 Pistol and how is goes against some of the current trends in defensive firearms. The PD10 is a Mid-sized gun that has a full size grip and carries like a compact. How is all of that possible at the same time?
The PD10’s grip fills the hand due to its length and front to back width. But, it accommodates those with shorter fingers or small hands with its thinness and contouring. The grip is only .8 to .9 inches wide and the slide is only .9 inches wide. The slide stop makes the widest point of the pistol about 1 inch, coming in thinner than many sub-compact guns that are perceived as being “smaller” and easier to carry. Thinness is a huge contributor to carry comfort. While a tenth of an inch or two may not sound like much on paper, when it is a 20% reduction in width, it’s significant.
In his article at All4shooters.com, Brancaglion thoroughly covers all of the features and design points of the PD10 Pistol and comes to the conclusion that:” [The PD10 is a] semi-automatic pistol midway between contemporary market desires and classic U.S. pragmatism.”
We’re okay with that description! The article touches on the major questions of size, capacity, function and reliability. Issues that everyone needs to consider when considering a defensive firearm.
The PD10 Pistol is currently available at retailers across the United States and can be ordered directly by consumers at Galleryofguns.com.
For those interested, the PD10 Article is also available in Italian!

- ShinaniGunz PD10 Review
ShinaniGunz has posted a great in depth PD10 Review at his YouTube Channel. In addition to thoroughly covering the features and design points of the pistol, he spends a considerable amount of time shooting the gun and sharing his own thoughts.
The PD10 Pistol from Avidity Arms is designed for defensive carry. It puts a combination of the most important features of a concealed carry pistol into an unexpectedly thin package with a very low bore axis relative to the hand.
Highlights of the PD10 Review from ShinaniGunz include:
-Overview
-Trigger Feel
-Holster Options
-Red Dot Sight Integration
ShinaniGunz is a new channel with Firearms and accessory content and reviews with a focus on real world applications, testing, and training geared towards your average self defender and firearm enthusiast…and maybe a little shenanigans just for fun. - Tactical Retailer “New 9’s”
Tactical Retailer Magazine has included the PD10 in its line up of New 9’s that most gun shops don’t have in stock yet. Specifically, the article is focused on “Micro 9mms” that are new to the market or planned to be released soon. Looking at the pistols listed, it appears that the PD10 would be the thinnest of the firearms. Thin-ness is a key design feature of the Avidity Arms handgun. Firearms from Savage, Staccato and a not-yet-released model from Lionheart Industries are also included.
The Tactical Retailer piece calls out the PD10’s unique CLAW emergency manipulation features, which are just part of its “Designed for Defense” highlight list. While any small gun that enters the market is going to be consider an armed for concealed carry, many micro-9’s suffer from over-compromising shootability for size. The balance of many attributes is the key to any firearms appropriateness for defensive use. Avidity Arms believes that their first pistol is the best balance of carryability, concealability, weright, capacity & shootability for those who both carry and practice with their defensive handgun.
“Far too often, students in our defensive shooting classes show up wearing a ‘micro-9’, but want to switch to a full size gun to shoot in the class,” says PD10 Designer Rob Pincus, “My expectation is that those who carry a PD10 will actually train with their carry gun because it’s the right combination of easy enough to carry and easy enough to shoot.”
The first publication of its kind, Tactical Retailer serves as the primary source of news and information compiled specifically for businesses that cater to the “black gun” consumer. With reports on upcoming AR-style rifles, tactical shotguns, semi-auto handguns and all the products and accessories that a tactical shooter demands — as well as critical advice on building a better operation to stay ahead of the competition — Tactical Retailer delivers information the tactical business needs to succeed

- PD10 Unboxing by Sapper Gentleman
Sapper Gentleman has posted a PD10 Unboxing video with his thoughts on the features and design of the PD10. Sapper Gentleman has trained with Rob Pincus and studied the thought process behind the pistol’s design. He is able to explain many of the features in great detail.
The PD10 is designed for defensive carry. It takes cues from many other popular pistols, while still being a distinct handgun with its own feel. This is especially true in regard to the “full size grip” on a very slim mid-sized gun. Sapper Gentleman does a great job of showing and discussing how various aspects affect the shootability of the Avidity Arms PD10.
Sapper Gentleman’s channel is full of tips and gear reviews, many of which are specifically aimed at new shooters or those new to defensive firearms training.
- Handgun Hero adds the PD10 !
Handgun Hero offers a quick and easy way for you to compare the statistics of popular handgun models. They offer multiple angle visual references and an intuitive interface. While the raw numbers don’t tell you anything about comfort, shootability or other important aspects, the data they offer can help you understand how different firearms stack up against one another objectively.
The PD10 is listed under the Avidity Arms brand, all together they have over SEVENTY Manufacturers represented. You can compare the PD10 to hundreds of handguns at their website! We couldn’t resist comparing it to the FK BRNO PSD, another handgun design that Rob Pincus contributed to.
From Handgun Hero:
“HandgunHero was built after constantly searching Google Images for things like “Glock 17 vs Glock 19” or “Ruger GP100 vs SP101 size comparison” and not seeing useful side-by-side comparison charts.
Whenever a new handgun was released or a youtube personality made a video about a handgun, I would search online for images or charts to get a feel for it’s size compared to models I’m familiar with.
After a lot of searching but not finding, I realized this was something I could build for myself as well as firearm enthusiasts. So here you go – I hope you find it useful. “
