The first Avidity Arms PD10 was sold at retail yesterday, by SC Arms in New Jersey. The milestone was achieved almost exactly one year to the day of the decision to move Avidity Arms from Florida to North Carolina, as part of partnership agreement with Alphatech. Why was the first pistol sold in New Jersey? Avidity Arms’ original founders, Rob Pincus and Mike Sodini, were both born and raised in the Garden State. Their project to bring a new firearm to market and start a new gun company actually began there in collaboration with Eagle Arms in 2014.
Through the fits starts and changes from “Plan A”, the Avidity Arms team that has always an idea to sell the first gun in New Jersey.
“Gun Owners in New Jersey fight harder than most Americans to exercise their civil rights. Gun shops in New Jersey have some of the highest hurdles to jump just to start their businesses,” says Rob Pincus, who left NJ in 1988, but still has family and friends there. “Selling the first pistol in Jersey is a symbolic gesture of support for them, a nod to the fact that I grew up shooting guns there and a statement of commitment to defending gun rights even when it isn’t easy from the entire Avidity Arms Team.”
SC Arms has been one of the fastest growing gun shops in New Jersey
